The first song you remember?
Excluding 'Jingle bells, 'happy birthday to you' etc, whats the first (real) song you remember hearing?

I remember being 4 years old and my old man coming home from work with 'She loves you' (Beatles) and bunging it on the record player.

Come on cunto's, when did you first fall in love with music?

FC.

I first heard Band of Gold on the old dial a disc service, 160 from a landline. Can remember the old man doing his nut when the phone bill came in.

I remember Band of Gold by Freda Payne mainly because it was one of those records that had a stuck track, so we would have to lean against the jukebox to get it moving, it didn't work, just went to the next record

Probably something from late 1978/early 1979. I remember Bright Eyes being on Top of the Pops and wanting to stay up to watch it. I would have just turned four.

No one is saying it's the first song they heard.

"remember" is clearly in the title

Re: The first song you remember?
Anyone who claims to remember a song they heard aged 6 and definitively claim that it is the first song they heard is a liar. It's as simple as that!

Alfs

One thing I will say is I have a bit of trouble putting a time to my memories pre-school.

My earliest for sure memory was a colouring class I took at the local library. I know it was pre Kindergarten and so I was 4. But I have a number of memories that could be earlier or later around then.

Re: The first song you remember?
Of course it's easy, dickhead. Cast your mind back to your childhood and think of the first song that you REMEMBER hearing.

As said, mine is Lily the Pink, and I also remember that I was in the kitchen and my mother was making cakes.

I was 6.

I of course don't remember the first song I ever heard, which is what you seem to be confused by.
